Brick Stitch is a common technique used for creating basic beaded earrings. Often intermingled with the Comanche Stitch.
Both grid/patterns are the same. The weaving technique is different.  Pattern/Grid
Brick stitch uses the loops of thread between beads to attach new beads. Comanche stitch weaves thread through beads in order to attach new beads.
 
From a basic triangle of beads you can create an earring or bracelet or the sky's the limit. Starting with smaller items with few colors can make learning less intense.
 
Shown below: 1 triangle with a loop (top)and fringe (bottom).
Add an ear wire and you have an earring.
