Thread Conditioner or Bees wax:
It is a GREAT idea to wax or condition Nymo thread when using bobbins. I find it helps with static electricity, knotting and the quality of the thread.
If you run the thread through Thread Heaven, then put the thread between two fingers and pull down swiftly a couple of times a magic thing happens. The threads repel one another

Some people say Silamide does not need to be conditioned or waxed, others prefer it!

Bees wax is the only thing that I use on the end of my threads to allow me to get that dang end through a small needle eye. With it stiffening the end of my crochet thread I can even
get it through the eye of a 13 beading needle. If I'm out & forgot my nubbin of wax I'll use the bottom of a candle in a pinch. Courtesy of Judith Bertoglio-Giffin

1. Cheap (I get it by chunk from a store that sells batik stuff).
2. It remains soft enough to used until the dog hair forms an armor and then you re heat it and pull out the gunkies with a tooth pick.
3. The slight tack gives the thread body and the drag helps to stretch out the thread evenly.
4. Just running the end through the wax gives it real body to slam the thread head through the needle eye in a gjig second.
5. It straightens out the thread such as the Nymo curls without a heated hair curler. (I am clumsy and would burn my fingers to a nub.
6. It removes the curls, protects the thread, keeps it from knotting up.
