What is needed to order and print items from Bead-Patterns.com :
- Read our Agreement.
- A Color Printer is a must. Check your supply of ink and paper before ordering.
- A browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape) that supports 128 bit encryption.
Cookies must also be enabled for our scripts to keep track of your order.
PC users: Internet Explorer 5.5 or newer or Netscape Navigator 4.77 or newer.
MAC users: Internet Explorer 5.0 or newer or Netscape Navigator's newest version.

- Acrobat Reader - Newest Version. Older or mixed versions will not work properly with all of our files. We suggest that you read
and use the information below to resolve the most common problems associated with printing items from our site.
If you are not sure which version of Acrobat Reader is on your computer or if a newer version was installed over an older version, follow the steps below to remove all versions, install
the newest version and make the web browser integration setting change.
1. Uninstall ALL versions of Acrobat Reader.
If available use the UNINSTALL associated with Acrobat Reader.
If there is no UNINSTALL associated with Acrobat Reader;
WARNING: once a program has been unstalled it is GONE.
Go to your START MENU, find the CONTROL PANEL, choose ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS.
Find and REMOVE all versions of Acrobat Reader.
2. Shut down your computer.
3. Count to 10 slowly.
4. Turn computer on.
5. Download Acrobat Reader's newest version found at the link below.
Vist the Adobe site to get the newest Version of Acrobat Reader.
6. Next uncheck the web browser integration setting in Acrobat Reader, this will solve all sorts of problems; Computer/Printer FREEZING, Partial printing of Pages and more.
See below for unchecking this option for the various versions of Acrobat Reader.
To uncheck the web browser integration setting in Acrobat Reader 6.0:
a. Open Acrobat Reader 6.0.
b. In the Menu choose EDIT - PREFERENCES.
c. On the left side of the screen, highlight INTERNET.
d. On the right part of the screen, uncheck DISPLAY PDF in Browser.
e. Just below "DISPLAY PDF in Browser", uncheck "Check Browser settings when starting Acrobat Reader".
f. If you receive a message about being out of memory it could be that if you uncheck the "Certified Plug-ins only" option will take care of that problem.
To uncheck the web browser integration setting in Acrobat Reader 5.0:
a. Open Acrobat Reader 5.0.
b. In the Menu choose EDIT - PREFERENCES.
c. On the left side of the screen, highlight OPTIONS.
d. On the right part of the screen, uncheck DISPLAY PDF in Browser.
e. Just below "DISPLAY PDF in Browser", uncheck "Check Browser settings when starting Acrobat".
f. Click here for a screen view of the above.
g. Now leave Acrobat Reader Open.
h. Click on the TEST PAGE link to perform a TEST print of one of our patterns, TEST Page.
i. If a screen appears that says: "Open from it's current location or Save this file to disk."
j. Choose: Open from it's current location (remember you are not permitted to SAVE our files).
k. Click OK.
To uncheck the web browser integration setting in Acrobat Reader 4.0:
a. Open Acrobat Reader 4.0.
b. In the Menu choose FILE.
c. Scroll down to Preferences.
d. Scroll over to General, click on GENERAL.
e. A window opens.
f. In that window look on the lower right corner of the screen.
g. Find where it says Web Browser Integration.
h. Make sure the box next to Web Browser Integration is NOT checked.
i. Click OK.
j. Click here for a screen view of the above.
k. Now leave Acrobat Reader Open.
l. Click on the TEST PAGE link to perform a TEST print of one of our patterns, TEST Page.
m. If a screen appears that says: "Open from it's current location or Save this file to disk."
n. Choose: Open from it's current location (remember you are not permitted to SAVE our files).
o. Click OK.
How to find out which version of Acrobat Reader is installed on your computer:
1. Open Acrobat Reader,
2. In the Menu of Acrobat Reader, click HELP,
3. Scroll down and click on ABOUT Acrobat Reader.
4. The screen that follows will have the version listed.
This does not prove that you do not have mixed version installed.
