Sacred Heart Triptych
A triptych is a piece of artwork that is spread across three panels. A triptych can use one image that spreads across three panels, or can be similar in theme, but use different images, or any combination of these. They are intended to be displayed side by side, and sold or used as one art piece. Triptychs can be made using almost any medium, but it is often done with painting. Now we can make a triptych with beads!

A color key (Delica numbers and amounts) is included. Also included are suggestions for backing and finishing the triptych so it will stand alone.

DECO GIRL is definitely a flapper! A color key (Delica numbers and quantities) is included but you can dress her in any colors you like.

And what is a flapper? In the 1920s, a new woman was born. She smoked, drank, danced, and voted. She cut her hair, wore make-up, and went to petting parties. She was giddy and took risks. She was a flapper. The Flapper's image consisted of drastic (to many, shocking) changes in women's clothing and hair. Nearly every article of clothing was trimmed down and lightened in order to make movement easier.
The clothing of flappers is even still extremely identifiable. This look, called "Garconne" ("little boy"), was instigated by Coco Chanel. To look more like a boy, women tightly wound their chest with strips of cloth in order to flatten it. The waists of flapper clothes were dropped to the hip-line. She wore stockings which the flapper often wore rolled over a garter belt.
