Butterfly Ornithoptera Priamus. Female
Butterfly Ornithoptera Priamus inhabits Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Wingspan is about 14 cm.
The butterfly got its name in honour of Priam, the last king of Troy.
This beaded butterfly is woven of 5 colours. The pattern includes a photo of a woven butterfly and 3 graphs. The colours in all beads are numbered for easier work. The way of the thread is shown in each graph.
Weaving this tiny lepidoptera can be an easy and simple lesson helping a pupil to make much bigger butterflies.
Such butterfly can be used as a brooch, an earring, a part of a bookmark.
