Ornithopera Priamus, or Priam’s Birdwing, is named in honor of Priam, the last king of Troy.
Subspecies Urvillianus inhabits New Ireland and Bougainville, Papua New Guinea, and Solomon Islands.
The wingspan of the males is 14 cm.
This beaded butterfly is woven of 13 colours.
The pattern includes a photo of the finished butterfly, a palette of needed toho beads and 7 graphs, from picking the first beads up to the finished piece with showing the way of the thread in each graph.
